Home Communion: If you, or anyone you know is unable to attend church and would like to receive Home Communion, please contact Vikki Thomas (vicarspa@ccbedford.org) to arrange for someone to visit.
St Albans Diocese Ministry Experience Scheme: This scheme is an opportunity for those aged 18-29 to spend a year growing in ministry and leadership skills through church placements, training and mentoring. You can experience church ministry in its widest sense or focus on ministry with children and young people (Future Youth strand). Christ Church is hoping to offer placements this coming September (other churches are available!) There are information leaflets available in the Hub or see the link from our website here
Craft Group: Thursdays 10am-Noon in Room 7. Spend time together chilling, chatting and creating crafts.
Songhaven Concert: Tuesday 19th May, 12 noon @ St Andrew’s Church, Kimbolton Rd. Free relaxed concert. Proudly Dementia Friendly - open to all. With FREE light lunch. Audience feedback - “A fantastic, uplifting concert”, “amazing, will definitely come again!” Booking via: ticketsource.co.uk/songhavenbedford The community of people who attend is growing beautifully and we would love to expand it and welcome new people. The concerts are of a high professional standard and the atmosphere is friendly, joyous and relaxed.
Go4Gold Soup and Social: Friday 22nd May @ 12.45pm. There will be a choice of soups, bread rolls, cheese, yoghurts and fruit for a suggested donation of £2pp. This will be followed by a social in the Hub from 2-3.15pm (suggested donation £1pp). No booking is needed, you are welcome, just turn up to one or both events.
Men’s Breakfast: Saturday 23rd May 9-10.30am at Christ Church. Numerous breakfast options available with perhaps the most popular being the egg and/or bacon and/or sausage bap plus tea/coffee etc. Also available are cereal, croissants, toast, jam, orange juice, etc. If you are vegetarian and would prefer a veggie option instead please let me know (mens.breakfast@ccbedford.org). All for the bargain price of £3 (free on first visit). No need to sign up, just turn up on the day as we would love to see you. We shall continue with looking at the book of James. This is a valuable time to build up friendships and develop support networks. We hope you can join us.



Day trip to Ely: We are planning a day trip by coach on Tuesday 9th June. Leave Christ Church at 9am and return by 8pm. Cost £48pp to include: coach travel, guided tour of Cathedral, visit to Oliver Cromwell House or Ely Museum. Optional lunch at The Armory (£19pp). Booking forms are available in the hub/here. Watoto Children’s Choir: Tuesday 7th July @ 7pm. You are invited to join this children’s choir, from Uganda, as they sing, dance and share their stories of restoration and hope here at Christ Church.

HopeWorks are recruiting for an ESOL Early Years Practitioner Session Leader (Level 3)
The Early Years Session Lead holds responsibility for leading sessions in our trauma-informed Early Years setting. They do not hold line management responsibility for other practitioners however supervise a small team of L2 practitioners during the sessions.
The Early Years Session Lead is part of the EY Leadership Team, which meet together online on a Weds 15:00-16:00. In addition the EY Session Lead works in our EY setting in Bedford on a Friday alongside the EY Session Lead (Bedford) and the Senior Early Years Practitioner who holds line management responsibility for the EY team.
