What is happening at Christ Church and beyond
Bookings are now *open* for the Church Weekend At Home

Please book by 19th April so we know how many we are catering for. You can book via the QR code or by clicking on this link More details will be made available at Sunday’s services and in the church emails in the next couple of weeks. Any questions please email warden@ccbedford.org
Urgently Needed Please: volunteers to help with locking up the building at the end of the day Mondays to Saturdays. There is a very reliable team of people who are on a rota to lock the building at around 10.00 pm after all the hirers have left. Unfortunately, for various reasons some people have had to step down. This means that the remaining volunteers are having to come more often. If you can help with this very important role, please can you email me at centre@ccbedford.org to find out more. If this is not something you can do very often, an offer to help one or two evenings a month would be most welcome. Many thanks, Dawn.
Home Communion: If you, or anyone you know is unable to attend church and would like to receive Home Communion, please contact Vikki Thomas (vicarspa@ccbedford.org) to arrange for someone to visit.

Lent Course: Continues Wednesday 25th March 8pm in the church. We will be looking at Jesus in different spaces as we journey together to Holy Week, using material from Tom Wright’s book “Lent and Easter for Everyone”, (this week: Jesus in the City). Please do join us in person or online – we will be livestreaming (or you can always watch later) on the Christ Church Bedford YouTube channell.

Craft Time: Do you enjoy craft activities, such as sewing, card making, crochet, cross stitch, knitting, drawing, paper craft etc? There is a group of us who meet in room 7 at Church on a Thursday morning from 10am to 12 Noon. We spend time together chilling, chatting and creating our crafts. If anyone is interested to find out more information, look out for Carolynne Roberts, Lesley Greenslade, or Sandra Gardner on a Sunday or just turn up on a Thursday.... Open to all levels of interest, we look forward to seeing you.
Go4Gold Film Club: Friday 27th March @ 1.45pm. Refreshments (popcorn & ice cream) included. Just turn up if you are free & come & watch a Christian film with others. (Suggested donation £1 to cover refreshment costs)
Men’s Breakfast: Saturday 28th March 2026. 9-10.30am at Christ Church. Numerous breakfast options available with perhaps the most popular being the egg and/or bacon and/or sausage bap plus tea/coffee etc. Also available are cereal, croissants, toast, jam, orange juice etc If you are vegetarian and would prefer a veggie option instead please let me know (mens.breakfast@ccbedford.org). All for the bargain price of £3 (free on first visit). No need to sign up, just turn up on the day as we would love to see you. We shall continue with looking at the book of James. This is a valuable time to build up friendships and develop support networks. We hope you can join us
Together Alliance: On Saturday 28th March hundreds of Christians will join a huge coalition of charities, faith groups, and civil society organisations in the Together Alliance march in London to call for a greater focus on *love, hope, and unity* in the face of a resurgent Far Right. Christians will be coming together at this event as our faith is increasingly associated with movements seeking to exclude and oppress rather than love and liberate. For more information talk to Sue Marshall or Michael Bishop.
Good Friday Refreshments: Can you help please? After the 10am service on Good Friday (3rdApril) we want to serve refreshments, including Hot Cross Buns, but we need a team of 4-5 to prepare and serve, in order to do this. If you’re able to help please email Kay on kayberrington@btinternet.com
Plant Sale: Saturday 9th May. With the sun beginning to shine, now is the perfect time to sow seeds and take cuttings. Last year lots of people requested vegetable and herbs plants so please sow lots of these. Please sow and divide lots of flowers/shrubs/trees etc too. If you need, there are some plant pots at the top of the Vicarage driveway.
