HRV – “Let this be our final” Gift Day

How is this money still required? We have £22,000 pledged to come in over the next 3 years. We have interest-free loans to cover cash shortfall in the meantime, but we now need a final £13,700 to cover the difference between those pledges and cash required to pay back those loans.

Support for Malawi Youth Team (travelling this July)

Malawi Afternoon Tea Saturday 29th June @ 52 Waterloo Road 2-5pm. All invited. Raising funds for Protection for Education - a project to keep girls in education in Malawi

Malawi Quiz Night Saturday 29th June at 7pm. Make your own team of 6 or we can match you up. Tickets: Adults - £10, Students - £7.  Ploughman's supper included in price.  Licensed bar, cake stall and raffle. Please support this last large fundraising event before the trip. Waitering/Assisting Friday 5th July 7-9pm – Richard, as Rural Dean, is hosting a “thank you” dinner for the Deanery of Bedford’s Parish Safeguarding Officers. We are looking for assistance with setting up, serving food and washing up. If you are able to help in any way, please contact Kathryn Hughes.

Holiday at Home - Letters are now available in the Hub for our annual Holiday at Home for the over 60s.  It is being held here on 19th & 23rd August.  The day out on 21st August only has a few places remaining on a first come, first served basis.

Spring Harvest 2020 BrochuresRichard and Sarah Hibbert are looking at attending Spring Harvest 2020 and would love you to join them.  They haven't decided whether to go the week before Easter weekend, returning to Bedford on Maundy Thursday, or the week after leaving Bedford on Easter Monday.  Booking opens on 26 June, and early bird discounts apply before 31 July. There are brochures available in the Hub, the promo video is here and you can speak to Richard and Sarah for more information and to express your interest.

Job Opportunity The 4 Counties Ministry Training Course is looking for a self-employed Administrator for 4-5 hours per week, to support the course which will run on Thursdays at Christ Church from September. See noticeboard or contact the office for details

BREAKTHROUGH (12A) Bedford Vue cinema is showing an excellent Christian film at Senior (age 60+) Screen on Thursday 27th June at 1pm.  For trailer and details see  It's well worth going if you can - take some friends.

Hawking, Dawkins and God:  Science and Religion in Contemporary CultureSt Albans Cathedral are hosting a lecture at 7.30pm on Wednesday 10th July in which Professor David Wilkinson reflects on the current situation of science and faith and suggests ways forward for education, apologetics and Christian mission.
