PRAYER EMPHASIS DAY – Tuesday 28th May: pray extra for our life and witness as God’s people at Christ Church. Room 4 (Prayer Room) open for you.
ASCENSION DAY service – Thursday 30th May in Rooms 2 and 3. Starting THY KINGDOM COME adventure of 11 days of prayer for our nation and making new disciples.
Thy Kingdom Come 30th May - 9th June Join the global wave of prayer encouraging all Christians to pray between Ascension & Pentecost that more people will come to know Jesus Christ. There will be five prayer stations in the Upper Foyer and Prayer Room (4) available to guide you in prayer: for family, neighbours and our nation; confession and forgiveness; worship and prayer for others to know Jesus. The prayer stations will be available from Ascension Day to Pentecost (30th May - 9th June) when the halls are open. All are welcome to spend time reflecting at the stations in quietness and prayer.
Run Bedford Event Sunday 2nd June 9am-noon. Please allow extra time to get to church next Sunday morning as some roads will be closed for the Run Bedford 10k.
Summer stroll round the river –Sunday 2nd June. Church walk, meet in the car park at 2pm. Return to church to join in with the Newcomers' Tea.
PCC News – financial concerns and mission imperatives
£70,000 is the final sum needed to pay for the new church halls. There will be a Gift Day on Sunday 9th June to complete this fund-raising and look forward to their use.
2019 income - We need to increase our general giving to cover budgeted expenditure.

Messy Crafts Friday 1st June 11.00am-1.00pm - Join us for crafts, lunch, worship and family friendly prayer activities, based on Thy Kingdom Come. We also need helpers for this session, particularly in the kitchen and people willing to welcome and chat to those that come, so if you are able to help please Becky or Gillian know as soon as possible.

The Boy who Harnessed the Wind Friday 7th June at 7pm,free film screeningat St John's Church, Bedford, a good opportunity to invite friends to watch a film in a slightly quirky location and an opportunity to donate to the Home of Hope Orphanage in Malawi.

Ladies Weekend Away, 28th-30th June at The Garden House, Stamford. We have 30 ladies joining us, we have a few spaces left for staying over for the weekend and we would love it if ladies wanted to join us for the day on Saturday. Contact Rachel Bennett.

4 Counties Ministry Training Course (4CMTC)This year long course (30 weeks) will be taking place at Christ Church on Thursdays (10.30am-4.30pm) from September. Cost £200 per term. This non-denominational course aims to equip Christians across Herts, Beds, Bucks & Northants with high quality training for people who want to be better equipped to serve the gospel in their churches and everyday front-lines. The Course covers the whole Bible in good detail, together with important doctrines and practical pastoral work. Using local course tutors, this is a great way to deepen and strengthen your Bible knowledge and learn to apply it. Former students include: Sidney Miller and AJ Wade. Brochures are available at the back of church and in the Hub.
