2019 income increase to cover budgeted expenditure. Richard was encouraged to write to all on the new Electoral Roll, inviting them either to review their giving to Christ Church if a present donor, or to prayerfully take up the joy of giving to God’s work among us if not a present donor. The PCC are aware of the need to know our increased giving by its next meeting (4th July).

The Word Bookshop has now been open for almost eight years. We have been praying and discussing the future in view of a break clause in our lease. The outcome is that in February next year, we plan to retire from bookselling. Our dream is to hand the shop on to people who can take it forward into the new decade, but our existing team will still be here until after Christmas. Please join us in praying that the right people will come forward. It may be that you, other people you know or even a church group, have the vision, skills & finance to take on the shop. If so, do get in touch so that we can talk more: Martin & Joy Denny,
