THE ELECTORAL ROLL (ER)application closes this Tuesday 13th March in advance of our Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) on Wednesday 27th March at 8pm, where we rejoice in God’s goodness, elect new PCC members and prepare for the year ahead.

The ER is the formal list of church members, which says you delight to be at Christ Church and support our aims and values. It allows you to vote at our 2019 APCM.
If your name is not already on the Roll and you would like to be included, please collect a form from the basket at the back of church and place in the Church Office pigeonhole.
PCC and Deanery Synod elections
There are 4 PCC places (for 3 years) and 1 Deanery Synod place (for 1 year). Please consider whether you know who should be nominated to stand. Nomination forms available by the pigeon holes. Please consider if God could be asking this of you.
PCC/Deanery Synod representatives’ role involves:
1) enable the church to play its part in God’s mission to his world
2) co-operate with the minister in sharing leadership
3) ensure legal compliance with charity law
4) care for the buildings and church gardens
5) be a channel of consultation within the wider Church.
They are encouraged to pray for Christ Church and its activities, attend meetings having prepared in advance, and contribute to the discussions.

Church Pigeonholes have been relocated in the back corridor for ease of access and greater security. They are now labelled for Staff members and A-Z for church members.
Congratulations to Sidney and Judy Miller on becoming grandparents to Albert (Bertie) a son for Clare and Pete.

(The 11.30am session is preceded by Communion at 10am and followed by a light lunch; the 8pm session is preceded by refreshments from 7.30pm)

“Mamma Mia: Here we sing again” ABBA Evening– Saturday 16th March 7pm at Christ Church £12.50 adults £8 children/students. A fun evening with Greek food, quizzes and dancing. You can help serve our mission and ministry
Hub Welcomers – do you like to welcome local people to our new halls and rooms? We need day-time Hub welcomers to serve on a rota to make our halls the friendliest in town. Please contact Dawn to offer a few regular hours.
Magazine Editor and/or Magazine layout – Sarah Cottenden is stepping down after the April edition. Can you help build our sense of family and community, following up leads and pulling together an interesting magazine that speaks to us and our community?
Visitors wanted Ian Brown is now at Stoke Mandeville Hospital near Aylesbury for further treatment: please pray for him that he will make continued progress. Are you willing to visit him on a rota basis? Please contact Edward or Margaret Tufnell.
Foodbank – please bring non-perishable donations place in labelled box in The Hub. FOOD needs: teabags (40s/80s), fruit juice (long life), tinned fruit, & rice pudding, jars of pasta sauce, jam, tinned vegetables, spaghetti, fish & meat (casserole/stew), UHT milk, cup a soup. NON-FOOD needs: washing up liquid, laundry washing tablets, multi-purpose cleaning spray, shower gel, deodorant (m/f), shampoo and clean second-hand saucepans.
