Electoral Roll *** New Electoral Roll *** – This year we have to create a completely new electoral roll. Look out for further details and the forms to complete from 17th February. The electoral roll is the formal list of our church members, those who delight to be at Christ Church and support our aims and values. Membership allows you to vote at our 2019 Annual Meeting (Wednesday, 27th March, 8pm).
Welcomers, Sidespeople and Assistant Wardens Please meet at 11.30am on Sunday 10th February in the large hall to collect the new Handbook, be updated on a few changes to procedures and discuss how we can be even better at ‘welcoming’. Kay and Andrew.

Ladies' Social - Thursday 7th February 7.30-9pm Meet at Papillon (133 Castle Road) for chat/drinks and cake. If possible, please sign up in church. All ladies welcome.
Men’s Social - Curry Night Friday 8th February Meet at Deshi Spice at 60 Tavistock Street at 8pm. Pay for your own meal/drink only (not divided bill). Please let John Betteley know ASAP if you would like to join us.

AV TeamAudio-Visual operators - Do you enjoy being able to follow our services on the screen? If so please consider joining the AV team! We need more volunteers to help project our services. Full training given. Please speak to David Currie.
Office CoverWe are looking for people whom we can call on when our admin staff are on holiday. Are you able to offer a couple of daytime hours to keep our Church Office running efficiently, answer the phone, check emails, help print the notice sheet etc.?
Hub Welcomers – do you like to welcome local people to our new halls and rooms? We need day-time Hub welcomers to serve on a rota ot make our halls the friendliest in town. Please contact Dawn Hire – to offer a few regular hours.
Magazine Editor and/or Magazine layout – Sarah Cottenden is stepping down after the April edition. Can you help build our sense of family and community, following up leads and pulling together an interesting magazine that speaks to us and our community?
Morning Out– Would you enjoy meeting young mums/dads and grandmothers/ grandads, encouraging them and drawing them into the church’s life? Serving refreshments, helping on the craft table, preparing resources and just having a chat: a great ministry in putting a cup of tea into a mum’s hands. More info Jen McAdam
Ebay selling – Can you sell on eBay a small number of items no longer required at church? Contact Rachel Bennett
Lock up Team –It takes about 10 minutes to walk round, check the locks and secure the main doors. We are looking for someone to join the team every third Monday. Please volunteer to Dawn Hire
New Wine United 19 - 4th-10th August 2019: A group from Christ Church will be attending New Wine's United conference this year which is held at The East of England Showground in Peterborough. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a week of worship, teaching and fellowship, with a packed programme for adults, children and youth. 'Communicating the Gospel to a Secular Culture’ – Wednesday 6th March. Great teaching from TEAM Cambridge (great reviews from Sidney and AJ) by Andrew Fellows, Director of Christian Heritage, Cambridge. Eden Baptist Church, 10am-4pm (£10, £5 unwaged).
