Other notices and activities
Morning Out – help needed– serving Bedford families for over 40 years, we still see over 40 children and their carers each Friday. Most carers have made it part of their weekly routine, bringing siblings and making friends. We need more volunteers to keep it running effectively, serving refreshments, helping on the craft table, preparing resources and just having a chat with someone. There’s a great ministry in putting a cup of tea into a mum’s hands, talking about last night's TV or doing a jigsaw with a child that should not be undervalued: it may be the only time that week when a mother/father/carer feels cared about. Contact Jen McAdam for more info.
New Wine United 19 - 4th-10th August 2019: A group from Christ Church will be attending New Wine's United conference this year which is held at The East of England Showground in Peterborough. It is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a week of worship, teaching and fellowship, with a packed programme for adults, children and youth. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Laura Jewell for more information.
Lock up Team –It takes about 10 minutes to walk round, check the locks and secure the main doors. We are looking for someone to join the team every third Monday. Please volunteer to Dawn.
FRIENDS FOR LIFE – Bedford charity combating loneliness and isolation in residential care homes. We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic/motivated individual to drive forward the charity’s Marketing, Media and Fundraising initiatives.
