Centre ManagerDawn Hire has been appointed Centre Manager for 20 hours per week and will begin work on 1st October. We are hugely excited that Dawn will be coordinating the practicalities in the new halls, working alongside Pauline and the staff team. Please pray for her as she moves into this new role.

Lunch Club – 11th September – Cancelled - Lunch Club’s first meal back in the new halls needs to be postponed to 25th Sept due to insufficient cooks for the new kitchen. Apologies for any inconvenience this causes. Please share with fellow “Lunch Clubbers”.
Confirmation (and/or Baptism) – our next such service is Sunday 25th November at 6.30pm with Bishop Michael. This is a great opportunity to affirm publicly your faith. Anyone interested in exploring Confirmation (and/or Baptism), please speak to Richard Hibbert ASAP. There are 7 preparation meetings, exploring Christian faith and practice, from Sunday 30th September – 4.30-6pm.
Bike 'n Hike – Saturday 8th September. Richard Hibbert is cycling with Chris Brown to raise money for the Beds & Herts Historic Churches Trust (donors of £20,000 to the Halls Redevelopment). Sponsorship at back of church over (£1400 raised so far) or direct by BANK TRANSFER (sort code: 40-52-40 Account No: 00020562, ref: BikenHike). People are needed to greet visitors to Christ Church. Sign up at the back of church.
Grove Pregnancy Advice Centre – New Christian based course exploring basic counselling skills and info needed relating to unexpected pregnancy, abortion and baby loss. Starts 13th Sept with 14 sessions on Thursday afternoons plus one Saturday, at All Nations Church. For those with a heart to support women, men and families affected. Halls Redevelopment – Our Grand Celebration and Opening is Sunday 23rd September, with Bishop Alan joining us for the 10am service and VIPs coming to our ‘ribbon cutting’ at 12.15pm. A chance to walk round the new halls and a complimentary BBQ.

Carpet Cleaning - The church carpet is bring cleaned during the day on Thurs 13th and Fri 14th September, so please note that access to and via the church will be limited then.
Wood - there is still some wood available on the north lawn.
GOLD Theology Course (Luke and Acts) Begins Tuesday 18th September 7.30pm - 9pm. at The Rectory, Clophill Road, Maulden, Beds MK45 2AA. Cost £50 (5 fortnightly sessions). The course is especially helpful to those who are exploring a Vocation to Ministry both Lay and Ordained.
