Donation Day – Sunday 25th March
Thank you to all who have been able to give/pledge so far. Ruth Janes advises that as of Thursday 29th March a total of £108,000 has been received. Praise God and pray the final balance is received soon.
We still need to pray for God to supply the full £250,000. My heart is telling me that we really do need to pray in this final balance, so that we no longer need to look back to paying for the construction, but can look forward to using these new halls and rooms for God's good purposes among us and our local community.
Please do be in prayer these next weeks. The Apostle Paul writes: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." (2 Cor 9:8-9)
Thank you for your partnership in the Gospel in these demanding and exciting days. If you missed last weekend’s Donation Day, please place your completed form in a sealed envelope, marked HRV, in the large Collection Box on arrival at church, or drop through Vicarage letterbox (115 Denmark Street).
More details on the original sum needed, £250,000, and on ways to give are to be found on a separate flyer. £250,000 seems an awful lot of money, so can you set up a Standing Order for £40 for 24 months, or £80 for 12 months, or £100 for 10 months, or donate today £1000. With 318 people on our Church Electoral Roll, imagine if just 250 of us gave £1000 each as above, the final funding would be reached. It’s a large Costa cappuccino a day!
Halls Redevelopment Update Poor weather, as in too cold overnight to enable the exterior works to be completed, hampers the contractors. Completion is delayed till the end of May. Our contractors are seeking ways of minimising further delays. Please pray God’s blessing on the contractors and sub-contractors. Please pray for warmer weather.
