Alpha Course – next session Weds 11th October exploring the meaning of life & the person of Jesus. Wednesdays @ 7pm at 37, Harrold Priory (off Riverfield Dr) – with 2 course meal
Alpha explores the meaning of life over the autumn term, finding out about following Jesus. Topics include: Who is Jesus? Why did he die? How do I pray? Each session involves refreshments, a talk & discussion. Invitation cards now available from the back of church.
Richard's “Sabbatical” – Officially called Extended Study Leave (ESL). Richard is not available till 4th December, 2017. He has had two very enjoyable and encouraging visits to Mission Partners YP and Jude and to Rob and Ruth and he thanks you for your prayer for him. Please do pray that his upcoming trip would be a blessed time for him and the Deneufchâtels.

Wood available any church member is welcome to take some of the logs and/or pallets from The Vicarage driveway. Please help yourself.

Getting Your Kids Through Church - Without Them Ending Up Hating God Course
Worried about your children’s faith? Claire Broughton-Welsh is hosting a course aimed at parents from Care for the Family. Over 8 sessions it will look at issues around stages of faith, belonging, and creating a welcoming church and family environment. Meets at 7:30pm at 13 Tiverton Road. Service of Prayer and Thanksgiving – we will once again be holding a service of reflection and thanksgiving for all those who have lost a loved one, whether family member or friend. The service will be on Sunday 29th October, beginning with tea together from 5.30pm before the service at 6.30pm. Invitation cards are available from the back of church.

One Week 'Wild' in Wilstead Woods Gareth and Fanie have successfully completed their One Week 'Wild' in Wilstead Woods challenge! Thank you to all who have sponsored them, helping money to be raised for the new Christ Church Halls. Kathryn Hughes will be collecting sponsorship money after the 10am Sunday service.
Malawi 2019 Teens Trip - For those interested in travelling to Home of Hope, Malawi in the summer of 2019 there is a meeting in the main church for teens who will be 16+ in Aug 2019, their parents, and those interested in helping to lead this trip on Sunday Oct 15th from 3pm to 4.30pm. Bedford Foodbank – please bring non-perishable donations any Sunday. Please place them in the labelled box at the back of church. They are particularly short of men's deodorant, toilet rolls and long life fruit juice.
The Word-open Mondays to Saturdays 9.30am-5pm at 167 Castle Road. They now have Christmas cards and 2018 calendars in stock, as well as Bibles, Christian books for adults and children, CDs and DVDs cards and gifts. They also supply and exchange book tokens as well as their own gift vouchers.
