Christ Church needs you.

As things open up again, Opportunities for ministry among us and beyond are detailed below:

Please pray for each of us to know God's nudge about the area of service in which we are called to offer.

Building lock up
As our halls begin to see more returning regular hirers and new groups joining, we hope to find a few more people who would be able to join the building lock up rota. This takes about 10 minutes and involves walking through the halls at the end of the day and checking that all the outer doors are locked. If you can help, please contact Dawn by emailing centre@ccbedford.org or by calling 07788 687011. Thank you.

You are invited to a national “GOLD Theology Open Evening” via Zoom on Wednesday 8th September at 7:30pm. It is aimed at those wanting to know more about the various levels of Bible-based courses that we run, from discipleship-deepening level 1 courses to ministry-preparing level 3 courses.
We have had several Christ Church members who have attended these courses in the past. Some have gone on to leadership roles, whether full or part time, paid or unpaid; others have just benefited from getting to know their Bibles better amongst groups of like-minded believers.

The event will be led by the GOLD Theology Director and Christ Church member Richard Janes will be involved.

More information including the Zoom details can be found here.

Passionate about helping Afghan refugees

The Bishop of Hertford writes:

“There is widespread distress and concern at the current plight of the people of Afghanistan. People across our diocese are asking ‘What can we do to help them?’ Their needs are going to be great as well as varied and our first and vital task is to understand them better. We are working with a number of coordinating agencies to learn of the different kinds of support that are required. We look forward to offering more information and guidance about what might be collected, where necessary items might be sent etc, very soon.”

We await news of the local needs and how to participate with other churches.
