WELCOME to Revd Shaun Atkins, who preaches this morning. Shaun until recently was Bedford School Chaplain, and now serves both at St Mary’s Wootton and as leader of 4CMTC (Four Counties Ministry Training Course), which runs on Thursdays at Christ Church.
VACANCY for new CHILDREN’S MINISTER (initially24 hrs/wk with potential to expand up to full time) – We are looking for someone to lead and develop our children’s ministry and evangelism.  More details are available from the Church Office or click on job vacancy link on website.  Closing date for Applications: 14 February / Interviews 24 February 2020
ELECTORAL ROLL “Christ Church is my church”
 Do you want to be on our official list of members?
THE ELECTORAL ROLL is being revised from 25th February – 9th March. The electoral roll is the formal list of our church members, those who delight to be at Christ Church and support our aims and values. Membership allows you to vote at our 2020 Annual Meeting (Tuesday, 24th March, 8pm).
If your name is not already on the roll, you would like to be included and are aged 15 or over, please collect a form from the HUB and return to Pauline Grimley ASAP

Other Church Activities and Notices
Trainee Youth Worker Jess Walker, a student from Ridley Hall, Cambridge is on placement with us at Christ Church. Jess is required to reflect on her experiences at Christ Church as part of her academic work. The work will be marked and seen only by examiners and all names and identifying details will be changed. If you have any concerns about this, please contact her supervisor, Kay Berrington.
Left to Their Own Devices?  Run by Care for the Family this event is for parents, carers or anyone who is passionate about helping children navigate the digital world confidently. The event will enable you to ‘power up your parenting for the online generation’.  On 17th March from 7:30pm-10pm in Milton Keynes. Tickets £7 but if we can get a group of 4+ £5.  Contact AJ Wade.
Foodbank – New volunteers wanted on the first and third Tuesdays of the month to serve Foodbank clients at Christ Church from 12.30-3pm.  Full training provided. Why not visit and see how you could make a major difference to those struggling. Contact Margaret Baron.
Foodbank – please bring non-perishable donations and place in labelled box in The Hub. FOOD needs: fruit juice (long life), long-life sponge pudding, rice pudding, rice (small 250g/500g). NON-FOOD needs: washing up liquid, Toothbrushes, Toilet Rolls, Disposable Razors and Shaving Foam/Gel.
Tea, Cake & Chat 2-3.30pm Friday 14th February - seniors' social in the church halls. Come along, bring friends and neighbours to a very informal hour or so and during our socialising we'll have a short Thought for the Day. (Suggested donation of £1.00)
World Day of Prayer 2020 7.30pm Friday 6th March at Christ Church A service for everyone: Praying with Zimbabwe (also 2pm at Miracle Church, Alexandra Road, Bedford).
For your prayers this week
Ø Give thanks for the work of learning and training through 4CMTC and pray for you or a friend to invest in this training from this September.
Ø Pray for the appointment of a new Children’s Minister, closing date for applications: Friday 14th February.
Ø Pray for our Alpha course guests to grow in knowledge and understanding of Jesus.
Ø Pray for more local families and young people to worship with us.
Ø Pray for your workplace and ask for opportunities to be Christ’s love and speak of your faith.
Ø Pray for those who come in to our new halls to feel drawn to worship with us.
Ø Pray for those who are exploring vocation to licensed/ordained ministry to know the leading of the Holy Spirit.
