Safeguarding awareness month
January 2020 is Safeguarding Awareness month at Christ Church.
“We want to provide the best environment and safest place for all God’s people. We have a strapline of 'Living to Love God and You' and long for God’s Kingdom to grow in this world. We particularly want to grow the faith of children and young people, and to protect the vulnerable. We can best achieve these desires if we ensure our church is safe, and seen to be so. Our safeguarding policies, practice and team are core to what we do.”
Our core team
consists of Pauline Carter (Parish Safeguarding Officer), Kathryn Hughes (Safeguarding Administrator), AJ Wade and the Children's Minister.
Look out for information around this important topic and the training you might need to undertake to ensure Christ Church is working to the highest safeguarding standards.

Holy Communion preparation course
Is your child interested in receiving Holy Communion? We are planning a course of preparation for children who are interested in being admitted to Holy Communion before Confirmation. The Bishop of St. Albans allows children who are seven or more years old to receive Communion if they wish to, if their parents agree, if they have been baptised and if they have attended a suitable course of preparation. The course begins next Sunday; flyers available from the church office.
